The publishing industry today has undergone some rapid changes from traditional publication into the digital world. For that reason, PT. Gramedia Pustaka as a part of the biggest corporation in Indonesia needs to follow the changes to deliver a better service for customers.
That is why the company has to get a good system to understand more about their customers. Gramedia asked WGS to develop a marketing automation system based on user experience to get a better marketing results. This application aims the optimization and automation based on the user’s working habits.
For example, marketing team’s process of developing an event / campaign usually involves writing down the plan on word processor software, in the end a lot of document are made and scattered. We’re optimizing the process by combining all of these event development process in one application. Auditing and approval are also processed in the application, making the application a versatile all-in software for marketing management.
There is one important role that deals with how things are going well in the application. It’s the admin. Admin handles and monitors the application management from the inside. Admin authenticates users access, monitors activities and get reports from the dashboard, and access all features in the navigation bars.
The interesting features in this application are:
WGS developed the web application on laravel version 4.2 dan PHP version 5.6. It runs on top of Ubuntu, Apache Web server, and database MySQL. On the front-end, the application uses HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, JavaScript Framework and Jquery.
The company has to enable a pro-active approach to manage the business well, and an efficient marketing management with automatic system is exactly what they need.
