Project Overview

Our client Gramedia, is an established publishing company and also a national media tycoon, they are in need of a self-publishing platform for aspiring writer throughout the nation and beyond. The solution is to create a web-app to act as a publishing platform, not only it will be educative for the end-user, but the app also substantiate the client’s position as the market leader in the publishing industry.  The web app encourages the do-it-yourself ethos to all the writers out there by facilitating them to know more about the sequence of the publishing process, as the platform include digital distribution, book publishing, and ebook community to be able to perform as a complete digital publishing solution. We utilize for authorization necessities, a blend of Prawn, RGhost and active_pdftk to generate PDF content, and Solr for content searching. We also implement Elastic Load Balancing to evenly distribute incoming application traffic across multiple Amazon EC2 instances.
